Anti-Aging with Aerolase Lasers
What is CollaGEN?
Collagen is a strong, insoluble, and fibrous protein that makes up one-third of the protein in the human body. Your skin contains multiple layers of collagen. Right below the outer layer (epidermis) is the middle layer of skin (dermis), where collagen helps form a fibrous network upon which new cells and blood vessels can grow. Collagen is a key support structure in your skin
There are various types of collagen (at least 16), but 80 - 90% of the collagen in the body belongs to types I, II, and III.
Type I collagen is the strongest form of collagen, even stronger than steel. It is found in the dermis (deeper layers of the skin) and is stimulated by the NeoElite by Aerolase.
Type III collagen improves skin elasticity, and hydration, and is responsible for producing that wow factor weeks and months after collagen induction treatments. Type III collagen is stimulated by NeoElite & EraElite Aerolase Lasers, Microneedling, and Chemical Peels.
Type II collagen can be found in the joints, cartilage, and teeth.
What is Elastin?
Elastin is a protein in the fiber of the skin’s connective tissue that provides a resilient and elastic quality. It's what gives skin that bouncy, plump look and feel so often associated with a youthful, healthy complexion.
The Aging Process
We lose 1% of collagen each year after our 20th birthday. This reduces the integrity of the skin, causing it to show visible signs of aging, such as sagging skin, lines, and wrinkles.
Many products containing collagen, including, creams and powders, claim to revitalize the skin. Collagen applied to the skin has outstanding moisturizing effects, but it does not strengthen the skin or directly increase the collagen concentration in the skin. Collagen molecules are too big to be absorbed through the skin, so despite the marketing efforts, products fail to deliver as claimed.
How to Increase Collagen & Elastin
The growth of collagen and elastin can be stimulated through collagen induction therapies such as microneedling, chemical peels, and the use of retinoids. However, the most effective way to induce collagen is through Aerolase Lasers treatments.
The great news is at IMAGE by Grace Kartey we offer the EraElite Ablative Resurfacing Laser & the NeoElite by Aerolase. These laser treatments are safe on all skin types & tones.
EraElite Laser Peel by Aerolase
The Era Elite is the single leading device-based solution for complete epidermal (outer layer of the skin) renewal addressing enlarged pores, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, brown spots, (acne) scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and overall skin quality. The results are unmatched!
Our EraElite Ablative laser removes the thin outer layer of skin (epidermis). After this layer is removed, the body will undergo superficial healing. This leads to the formation of new collagen and elastin, ultimately resulting in a smoother, plumper, firmer, and more youthful appearance.
3-5 days of mild to moderate flaking/peeling
NeoElite by Aerolase
The NeoElite heats the underlying skin (dermis), which stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin, improves skin firmness and texture, and decreases acne-causing bacteria, dermal pigmentation, and overall inflammation. This treatment has no downtime.
Reverse & Rejuvenate Laser Peel Treatment
The Reverse & Rejuvenate Aerolase Treatment is a combination of our NeoElite & EraElite Aerolase Lasers. The Reverse & Rejuvenate is the first and only treatment to completely renew the dermis and epidermis. Our most comprehensive & multi-layer approach to achieving skincare goals.
Benefits include the reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scars, uneven texture and dryness, hyperpigmentation, melasma, inflammation, and redness. The treatment stimulates collagen and elastin, which increases skin elasticity, plumpness, and firmness.
